Choice, innovation, and quality of experience from Lync audio and video device partners

At the Microsoft Lync launch in November, we introduced more than 70 new devices including IP phones and USB peripherals to the market.  We previewed new video end points and announced interoperability with several industry standard telepresence systems, video end points, and conferencing platforms.  We also introduced the Compatible Device Program to offer SIP phones that are interoperable with Lync and don’t require gateways. That was only the beginning!

As we look forward to Enterprise Connect 2011, we’ll be excited to see more devices are on the way. Here are some device partner highlights from the show that we would like to share in advance of the event:

Audio Device Solutions for Lync at Enterprise Connect 2011

Aastra – See the new 6721ip and 6725ip phones Optimized for Microsoft  Lync at the Aastra booth adjacent to Microsoft’s booth. There you will see a live demonstration and can register to win a 6725ip phone.  Aastra will be giving away 2 6725ip phones per day.

Snom Technology, AG – Stop by the Strom Technology, AG booth to see their phones tested for compatibility with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2.  Snom will demonstrate audio and web conferencing through booth-to-booth connectivity with Microsoft’s booth.

Lync Video Solutions at Enterprise Connect 2011

Expanding Lync’s reach to offer a complete video experience from the desktop to the meeting room Polycom and Radvision will be debuting new video solutions that are interoperable with Lync. Polycom and Radvision, along with Lifesize, are participants in the beta phase of Microsoft’s new video interoperability program.

This new program is designed to help partners bring premium video experiences to the market for Microsoft Lync.  Microsoft is working  with partners to help them build solutions that interoperate with Lync and to build video end points that will bring the best experience to customers.  More information about the program will be available once we move out of the beta stage and have qualified solutions in market.

Polycom –At Enterprise Connect we renew our commitment to our partner ecosystem and to our customer by continuing to deliver innovative solutions that enrich the customer experience and support our system integrator deployments.
