Out of hundreds of entries for the YouthSpark Challenge for Change contest, which came from university students across the U.S. – all incorporating Windows and Office into their proposed social good projects – a judging panel selected 20 strong finalists.
And then voters chose their favorites, who are the contest’s five grand prize winners: Adam Dunn, Brian Hickey, Sneha Jayaprakash, Christina Ong, and Meghan Shea!
They will go on a volunteer trip to Kenya in August and each will receive $2,500 to help fund their project ideas. Read more details about them and their projects on the Microsoft Corporate Citizenship Blog, and read more about Microsoft YouthSpark too.
The students also received new devices as grand prize winners: a Windows Phone 8 and an Xbox 360 with Kinect. They already have a Surface RT they won as finalists.
