That's great news. Congratulations on the release.

We run WSUS here. Is there any way to force WSUS to fetch IE7 immediately so we can roll it out ASAP?

Everything's nice except that the icons for HTML and MHTML file types are the same as IE itself. I changed those right away...probably that wont be possible in Vista.

Hey tomf84: I'm afraid that there is no way to "force" WSUS to sync IE7.0 immediately; but, IE 7.0 will be available for WSUS servers to synchronize starting 1 November. Check out this blog post on the topic: http://blogs.technet.com/wsus/

is IE team plan to continue support IE6? I'm noties at Russian part of i-net (RU-net), exactly after that news was published a lot of articles about how to prevent installing IE7, as I understand the peoples not ready right now migrate to IE7...

"IE6SP1’s support policy will not change when IE7 ships. Everywhere that IE6SP1 is supported today, IE6SP1 will continue to be supported until the OS it ships with expires."

BTW untill today I'm used beta 3, is beta 3 upgradeable with final version of IE7?

and what about migration from IE6 to final IE7... is sers will need to backing up some favorites links or some plugins like a MSN tool bar or goole tool bar, is weekly history will be keeped after upgrade?

and one more additional question... is Windows 2003 AD GPO settings for domain will continue working normally with settings like proxy settings and so on?

Im going to have to organise my favourites menu before I upgrade to IE7, my favourite menu is like a trash can I must have about 1000 entries in it already.

I wish there was a weekly favourite feature where I could go back and see my favourites added on weekly basis like the browser history menu.

That would be nice. If it would sort favourites by website as an option that would be nice too.

Hey AlexeyBurlachenko: answers to your questions ...

1) When you install IE7 final bits it automatically uninstalls IE7 Beta 3.

2) Favorites will be migrated, some Active X controls will need to be reinstalled for security reasons.

3) Group policy settings will continue to work with IE7 – there are over 200 group policy improvements in IE7.

we are using JDE open world... it's not normally working with WEb interface under IE7, some buttons it not working properly...

may be I can ask you by e-mail?
