High Definition format wars could expedite transition to electronic distribution

Innovation will suffer unless we take a step back
So what really Grinds My Gears ... ...Solutions to problems created by solutions to problems. I think the IT industry is particularly bad for that, that's why I don't particularly rate anti-virus, and I'm also not keen on the trend for more and more anti-X

Valve try out new episode based business model with Half-Life 2
Yesterday Valve released the first in a trilogy of episodes for Half-Life 2. The episode one will cost $20 and be available on Valve's steam platform and in shops. The trilogy will conclude by Christmas this year. This, while exciting to Half-Life 2 fans
