Can you reboot and make sure the update is not already installed... you will get this error if the update is installed an you attempt to re-run the package.

Also please make sure you downloaded the x64 version of the update, othen the x86 version get's ranked higher on download center so if you are searching for the KB number it's often the secound link.

Atm only Server (2003/2008) x64 (and 32-bit) editions are supported as guests.

And only Client (XP/Vista) 32-bit

As Vista SP1 is basicly the same core as Server 2008, I am wondering why Vista x64 isn't supported and would like to know if and when this OS would be supported.

Having a 100% x64 environment is a problem now. (Unless you want to work without Integration Services :))

Anyone experienced this? To be fair, my Server 2008 is used as a workstation, but with RC0 I had no problems what so ever... My host OS is pausing and hangs with 100% CPU, I can't even see witch process is hanging because the server "freezes up"... Hope a fik is comming soon...

I'm not sure where to request this feature, but I ran into issues trying to get to ISO's on a remote machine with RC0. I included the URL to the Technet Forum post I made about it.

Can this feature be considered for a future RC?

HotFix,

If you want to use remote ISO's or VHD's you need to add both the user account and the machine account to the file and share premissions or enable constrained delegation.

I kinda hoped that with RC1, the "Data Exchange" option in the Integration features would become clearer, but I still have no idea on how to use it (nor can I find any info on it). Could you point me in the right direction?

I also got 'The update does not apply to your system'. Rebooting didn't help. Eventlog showed an installation failed message. I used the x64 version...
