Still do not have update on WSUS for 931836. We have update for 928388 and never had any problems obtaining updates before. Have run synchornization everyday a couple times a day.
Any additional ideas?

Is the patch required by XP boxes that are connected via Active directory and get the correct time via an AD server? This assumes that the server is properly patched with the DST patch.
I am wondering if this patch is for all OS's like 2000,XP, Vista,2k servers, 2k3 servers.
Also does this require an automatic reboot
I've been manually updating WSUS for the DST (KB 931836)
everyday and have yet to receive the download. I've modified my approval setting for "Updates" and "Roll-up Packages". Still no DST patch for XP. Besides manually updating each client computer, how can I get WSUS to obtain this update? Thanks!
Having the same issue. I've also turned on "updates" and "Roll-up packages" and still no WSUS update for 931836.
Is it just me, or has MS made something so simple much more difficult than it had to be. This isn't rocket science. Give a date when the patch will be pushed to WSUS servers as a critical update and make it so. The update isn't being received on my server either.
WHERE IS KB 913836:
OK - I found where the KB 913836 updates are "hidding" in WSUS. I had tuned on "Update Rollups" for Syncronization a few weeks ago but I still was unable to find any Daylight Savings Time updates. I had gone into the "UPDATES" button at the top, and search for All updates, all approvals, syncronized at Any time and contains text = "913836", but still didn't find it.
WHERE I FOUND IT:
From the "HOME" link, look at your "To do list" and click "Review other updates". When I searched or even just looked in that list, ****AMAZING **** There it was, KB 931836.
So for some stupid reason, when you do an update search in WSUS, it doesn't work accurately. Microsoft....go figure!
I dont have an option for Review Other Updates in my To Do list. How do I get this option. Or is there another way as I still cant see the update.
WSUS admins, here's the deal.
1) Check your WSUS "Options" (top, far RIGHT link).
2) On this screen you'll see "Update Classifications:" Under these classifications, be sure you
3) hit the Change button and
4) select "Update Rollups" and "Updates" (for good measure).
5) Hit "save", then
6) Synchronize now
Follow these steps and you WILL have KB931836.
I'm in the same boat as a lot of people on here. I have added "Update Rollups" and "Updates" on my WSUS server, since I was not synchronizing them before. I clicked "save" and then "synchronize now". The synchronization completes quickly (within a couple of minutes) but I don't have any new "Update Rollups" or "Updates". I am guessing that one of the earlier posts is correct in saying it is due to high traffic on Microsoft's servers. Also, I don't have "Review Other Updates" as an option in my To Do list. Hopefully Microsoft will have this resolved soon. Issuing it as a critical update would seem to be the simplest solution, until then I anxiously wait.
Matt, it's not there for some of us. Already tried your suggestions.
Phil
Figured it out people, it nicely automatically downloads as "Not approved" instead of the standard "Detect". So you have to change the approval filter to "All updates".
Hey there, Phil is right.
Under updates.....
Products and Classifications: All updates
Approval: All updates
Synchronized: Within the two months
Contains Text: 931836
I have also been suffering the "Sync'ing is only taking a couple of seconds" problem. I've been pulling my hair out for the last two days trying to find this.
Thanks Phil!!!
I have the update 931836 that correspond with windwos 2003 server but nothing for XP????
I don't see any responses to Val's post on Feb 14.
I have the exact same issue and questions -- My server is setup to only download security and critical patches. Is there any way to get this patch for WSUS to distribute without having to enable all update rollups?? This could be a royal pain. Is there a chance this could be rereleased critical?
