Thanks Tomoaki for this report, very interesting, as usual.
Glad to see that the french community continues to grow !
As always, very interesting. Four new languages!! And has any language ever moved up in the rankings so fast?
Tomoaki Yoshizawa - Thanks for sharing , How to find that article - Position 31 , tag : ta-IN , Language : Tamil - India
I'm upset Tomoaki! The Turkish Community made the most non English articles this month and you did not mention it :-(
Thanks TAT :)
Wow! Azeri jumped on the board with 39 articles!
And Gokan's right! Turkish beat Portuguese this month, which is incredible!
Gokan, when is Turkish going to have 1,000 articles? =^)
Also, great contributions from Spanish and French!
French is going to pass Persian soon!
Thanks, everyone!
Regarding the first locale languages... very interesting, Tomoaki!
Yes, so I used the Release Notes and some similar documentation as a catalyst for a few things... (1) getting non-English articles on the Wiki, (2) building our first international support team (it has evolved greatly since then), and a few goals that weren't as focused on international growth... (3) awareness of the Wiki (the release notes and official documentation were catalysts for Wiki evangelism and adoption for a year or so), and (4) a process around how to handle official documentation on a Wiki.
Overall, a fantastic experiment and very helpful for all four initiatives... all four helped us pave the way for the future of the Wiki.
It's fun to remember past initiatives like this. The truth is that this monthly blog is paving the way for future progress as well. And a lot of other things we're currently working on, like the Portals, User Groups, and TechNet Guru awards. So we'll be looking at these initiatives fondly in the future as well. =^)
Thanks again, Tomoaki!
I am really pleased that the Italian Wiki TechNet are in eighth place, well, we hope we can further improve with time.
Congrats to Hezequias, Benoit, Richard, and Gokan for commenting so much! blogs.msdn.com/.../the-wiki-ninjas-are-the-most-active-commentators-on-technet-blogs-top-10-commentators-on-technet-blogs.aspx
