Really sad news. I agree, he was a pillar on the whole community.

A simple example was all the migration he done from documentation on msdn to the wiki for better collaboration, forum participation, etc...

He will be missed, I send my deepest condolences to his family

Kurt has been an author on this blog, an incredibly kind friend, super giving, an important Wiki Ninja, a key team member in getting TechNet Wiki rolling, and a valuable contributor to Microsoft technology and to our community. We will miss you!

The Directory Services MVP's have often worked with Kurt. I remember meeting him at Summits. Yes, he will be missed.

I have never had the chance to personally meet Kurt, but after numerous emails between us in the DS-MVP DL, we eventually become FB friends a short while ago. I must say, for the short time I got to know Kurt, Kurt had a fabulous sense of humor! I enjoyed our conversations; funny to say the least!.

I just can't believe this happened to him. I will deeply miss Kurt.

I just was exchanging emails with him last week. Kurt went out of his way to be helpful and kind, what a great human being. Sorry to lose such a great guy.

A nice tribute for a very sad loss.

Kurt certainly made a mark in many people's lives, and his memory through his contributions will live on and help countless others.

I don't know what to say; a few weeks ago I wrote an article about him on our wikininjas Platform.. And now he is gone !!

May god bless him ..

We will absolulty miss him ! A real loss for us..

Mr, Peter, I want to thank you for this post. This is my Uncle Kurt.

Thank you to all those wishing us well. He was an AMAZING person and is missed immensely. To many of us, he was our idol and friend, as well as family. It will never be the same...
