Somebody used to answer the problems? Because I did nit get any answer.

I keep getting 2 errors 0x80501001 when trying to remove or quaranteen Power reg schedular and 0x80508026 when trying to remove or quaranteen Ezula Web offer.  Does anyone have information on this? All help is appreciated. Many thanks

I also get the error 0x80501001 and 0x80508026 each time defender runs it finds hese two errors.  When I try to clean them I get the error that it cant repair the error.  What can i do?

This was found in Microsoft under error codes:

This error will occur if a threat is detected inside of a container such as
a ZIP file, RAR archive, etc.

Microsoft AntiSpyware was a fairly good and useful program. One could see that GIANT did a pretty good job. Never gave me any problems, and I enjoyed using it, even though the worries of knowing it would work only 6 months in the future each time I was forced to upgrade it were a negative thing.

But this Windows Defender garbage is a fucking piece of shit! First, I saw on the Microsoft website that I will be forced to download some GDI+ crap (without which I did very fine so far). So, I did that. Then, the installation wouldn't work; said I needed Windows Installer 3.1. I went along with the Microsoft fuckers again and I downloaded that shit, too. Then, the installation again crapped out - it said I need an update of WIndows Update. After I finally fixed that problem, too, the installation worked but as soon as it finished, I got this error: "WINDOWS DEFENDER: Application failed to initialize: 0x800106ba. A problem caused Windows Defender Service to stop. etc"

Again, the Microsoft dipshits prove that they are a bunch of fucking idiots. I'm never going to give their piece of shit software another chance.

Go with Webroot Spy Sweeper and McAfee AntiSpyware (if you need two - if not, pick any).

Why, oh why did you take out the deep browsing footprint removal option?  It was a great tool but more than that it was a great gesture.  It showed the user under the hood, and gave a sense that they were in control of their data.   From a brand and esteem pov it's more than worth putting back.

Defender, hmm, perhaps more like cowering in the corner. Why is it that this package has to hide away, pop messages in the event viewer and not have a visable interface like e.g. Spybot. Real people like a visual interface to assure tham that all is well, not hat it is taken for granted that all is well, i.e. the latest rake of critical patches. When is Microsoft going to learn that, even though it has the consumer by the you know what's, that they are still a consumer and sooner or later, someone will come along with something and radically change everything. Ah well, have to go back and check my event viewer for news. It's like google news , but with puzzles that have to be solved before you know what is going on

Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware is now……”Windows Defender” .. is it really? Then why are there downgrades. I mean, if I am behind a proxy server which need authentication, then I am unable to update windows defender definitions while in microsoft antispyware there was no such problems. So, is it intensionally removed to make users face problems updating and make the threads about it big in the forums ??
