• An MVP, and A Security Leader

    The International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium  - (ISC)² has honored Manu Zacharia, an Enterprise Security MVP from India, with the prestigious Asia Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements award. (ISC)² officials will honor the ISLA honorees at the ISLA Gala Dinner and Ceremony on 26 July 2010 at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia in Singapore. As part of (ISC)²’s Global Awards Program, ISLA aims to recognize the achievements of outstanding information security professionals who have significantly contributed to the enhancement of the workforce by demonstrating a leadership role in an information security workforce improvement initiative, program or project.

  • SQl Server MVPs Get Together for a SQL Data Camp

    By the numbers, it’s safe to assume that this community event had the most number of MVPs participating. Add to it that one of the MVPs was from Ahmedabad, and another from Australia in India for vacation!

    SQL Server MVPs from Chennai – Deepak Rangarajan, Vidhya Sagar, and Sugeshkumar Rajendran successfully organized the one day SQL Server Data Camp on July 17, 2010 in Chennai. It was the first day-long event in India focused on SQL Server. The event was attended by about 90 people, and each of them got a souvenir T-shirt.

     
    SQL Server MVPs – Pinal Dave, Venkatesan Prabhu, and Madhu K Nair were the speakers at the event along with community folks in Chennai - Sudhir Mahendru and Baskar Krishnamurthy and Raymond Goh from DoubleTake Software. The organizers also acknowledged the behind-the-scenes support of MVPs - Jacob Sebastian and Madhivanan and User Group members - Ashok Kumar, Senthil Kumarasamy, and Nagesh.
