i'm going to build nearly the same system..
K48 + Celeron + 2GB-DDR2-Kingston + 2x 1TB HDD
i am wondering if the single 2GB-DDR works fine, as the specs of K48 say that it does support only 2x 1GB..
would be great to hear from you..

Hi Mikey,
You should follow the guidelines of the motherboard mfg. In general I don't think it will make much difference on whether you use 2x1GB or 1x2GB so long as the motherboard supports the configuration.
In my Shuttle K48 I am using a single 2GB module.
