C'mon this is nonsense.

The only way this could possibly work is if the software behind the RFID reader had a vulnerability that allowed it to execute the code on the RFID chip.

The boffins at the University of Reading have been outed for over 10 years for their media stunts, and this is just the latest example.  Google "Captain Cyborg" if you need more information on that, or read my analysis of this non-threat at

While this particular instance may be more media grabbing than science, you have to admit it is cool. To have the ability to infect other devices with a virus just by walking past them has some pretty significant implications.

This is really scary.

Graham Cluley, Ofcourse you'll not be infected by stucking a USB stick into your nose but definitely you might get infected if your body is running some sort of machine and RFID or relevant technology seamlessly interacted with each other.

This sort of research tells us what sort of vulnerabilities we will be looking forward in future...

this is scary. i feel there is no limit in technology. if there is security, there has to be a guy trying to unlock it. and now a days hacking cars via GPS is common.
