Good article. Worked for me using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.
Thanks for the tips on 'Approving' hosts in the console and using the CCMEXEC commands to manually update policy.
Updating policies took a few minutes.

SCCM patching ... M$ is not able to build sensible patching system for Windows and they would like to patch Linux...
