One question if you have time. Lets say you have an azure server and a local 2012 server connected in this method. While it looks possible (via static routes) to connect other computers to the access Azure would it be possible to get other hardware to access
the azure server directly. For example a Web cam / printer / NAS box. You couldn't setup a persistent route so perhaps there is a way to tell them to point at the local 2012 server and then that can handle the redirect back to azure?

...I think it would depend on the device. I know on the IP printers that I work with there is an option to enter a default gateway. As long as that gateway as a route to get to the Azure virtual network then it should work.
