Just FYI, I'm having the same 31551 event (same details) as Yasar. This is on SCOM 2012 R2 w/o the rollup.
As you mentioned in Known issues column, I'm getting the same error while running the SQL script in DB during UR5 installation. But I ignored that error.
Will it create problem?
Thanks!
Hi Yasar and John,
I have 2 environments, one with SCOM 2012 R2 without UR1 and another without UR1 with same 31551 events in the log.
By any chance do you have third-party MP's imported to your SCOM?
I'm seeing event 31551 as well. I am on UR2 for SCOM 2012 R2, I am going to use http://blogs.technet.com/b/mihai/archive/2014/05/03/some-alerts-are-not-appearing-in-reports-in-operations-manager-and-we-see-31551-events-in-the-event-log.aspx to debug it
It should also be noted, in 2012R2 the HealthService display name has changed from System Center Management to Microsoft Monitoring Agent.
We ran into this issue this past weekend's upgrade, and forgot about the name change for service name.
As per my previous comment, this was in regards to 2012R2-UR2.
Hi Kevin,
A few days ago I've started receiving alerts in SCOM regarding "Failed to store data in the Data Warehouse. The operation will be retried.
Exception 'InvalidOperationException': The given value of type String from the data source cannot be converted to type nvarchar of the specified target column".
I've searched through the net and didn't find any proper solution regarding this issue.
In addition since I get these errors I'm experiencing problems with my RMS. Every time and now it turns to gray along with the Gateway server and only after I restart the SCOM services it returns to green.
1. Do you think that these issues are related ?
2. Is this fix mentioned in the post here can fix this issue ?
Thx in advance.
