• Top Ten Bloggers At Microsoft

I’ve just read an interesting article written by Mary Jo Foley for the Redmond Times. It outlines her Top Ten favourite Microsoft Blogs, detailing the reasons why each one inspires her to keep coming back. Mary Jo has been a keen reader of blog feeds since 2002 and she emphasises how quickly things have changed in the last 4 years in terms of the number of blogs that now exist.

Included in her top ten blogs, I’m glad to say is one of our very own UK Microsoftees - Eileen Brown.  In a recent blog, Eileen highlights exactly how delighted she is to be listed.

It’s really great to see positive feedback being awarded to all the hard work that is put into posting articles to a blog regularly.

  • Accessibility in Vista

A good friend and colleague of mine; James Senior recently posted an article about the new accessibility features in Vista. His approach to the subject matter made for an outstanding read and certainly wins my vote for 'fab blog of the month'.

He examines behind the scenes of Vista be interviewing another colleague and good friend of mine Saqib Shaikh who can often run into accessibility problems due to the fact he is blind.

James drills into the pros and cons that Saqib is expecting in the new release of Microsoft’s next operating system - Windows Vista and talks in detail about Partner opportunities that could arise from designing new screen readers.

His fun style of writing steps you through the full interview as he wines and dines Saqib in a pleasant Paris restaurant. The story highlights some very interesting aspects about accessibility opportunities that I certainly hadn’t given any thought to.

Great job James and nice to hear your view Saqib

  • MOSS 2007 Public Sites Available for Viewing

I was looking at the Microsoft ECM team blog today and i discovered that they have published a list of current web sites that are already using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007.

    http://www.wssdemo.com

    http://new.culminisconnections.com

     http://www.alphamosaik.com

     http://www.hedkandi.com

The first two have clearly evolved using the MOSS template but the third and fourth are great examples of what can be achieved using MOSS 2007. I'm certainly impressed and I look forward to seeing great new sites in the future.
