  • MVP Community Camp: Sep 22 - Sep 26

    Another awesome MVP initiative kicks off on September 22nd. This MVP Community Camp will be run over 5 days and be broadcasted to 8 countries, in 5 different languages.

    This quarter, the theme is Go Cloud! We will cover all the hot topics about Cloud, targeting small and mid-sized business users, Developers, and IT Pros. Throughout the week, MVPs will present different aspects such as:
    • Developing infrastructure on Cloud
    • Building applications on Microsoft Azure
    • How Microsoft Cloud Technologies will help small and mid-sized business

  • MVA Hero Badges Competition Terms & Conditions

    1. The promoter is Microsoft Pty Limited (ACN 002 589 460) of 1 Epping Road, North Ryde, New South Wales, 2113.

    2. The MVA Hero t-shirt offer is available to any person resident in Australia who is sixteen (16) years of age or older at the time of entry and who have registered for the MVA Hero Campaign. Employees of Microsoft or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners) (Eligible Participant).

    3. To participate in the offer (Entry), the Entrant must 

                  a. Sign up to the MVA Hero Campaign, and provide their real and current name, email address and postal address;

                  b. Be one of the first 200 Eligible Participants to complete all of the required MVA courses under the desired Badge title; and

                  c. Email a screenshot, containing at least the “100% complete” icon, course name and username, for each completed MVA course to ausdevs@microsoft.com.

    4. Only courses completed between Tuesday 2 September 2014 and 17 October 2014 are eligible (Offer Period). In exchange for completing the requirements in clause 3 above, the first 200 completed participants for each badge will receive one (1) MVA Hero figurine that corresponds to the completed badge, valued at $5, within 4-8 weeks of sending screenshots (Reward). Each Eligible Participant is only entitled to one (1) Reward per badge, for a total of six (6) rewards. There is a total of two hundred (200) MVA Hero figurines available per badge.

    5. If the promoter is unable to supply the Reward, the promoter reserves the right to supply another reward of greater or equal value.

    6. No responsibility is accepted for Screenshots not received by the promoter. 

    7. All Screenshots are deemed to be received at the time of receipt into the promotion database and not at the time of transmission by the Eligible Participant. 

    8. The promoter and its associated agencies and companies accept no responsibility for the Reward being damaged or lost in transit. 

    9. This offer is non-transferable and cannot be combined with any other offer.

    10. Failure by the promoter to exercise any of its rights contained within these terms and conditions at any time does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

    2. This competition is only open to Australian residents aged sixteen (16) years and older. Employees of Microsoft or its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising or promotion agencies are not eligible, nor are members of these employees’ families (defined as parents, children, siblings, spouse and life partners). (Eligible Participants).  Eligible Participants who are under eighteen (18) years of age must have parental or guardian approval to enter and the parent or guardian of the Eligible Participant must have read and consented to all terms and conditions.

    3. The competition commences at 9.00 am AEST on 01/09/2014 and closes at 5.00 pm AEST on 17/10/2014 (Competition Period).

    4. To enter, Eligible Participants must, during the Competition Period:

    a. Register for free for the MVA Heroes Campaign on: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/dn771775 (Registration Page);

    b. Fully complete all course requirements of at least one (1) Hero Badge.  All Hero Badges and their requirements can be found after registration at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/dn771776;

    c. Invite five (5) friends who satisfy the eligibility requirements in clause 2 above to register for the MVA Heroes Campaign on the Registration Page, and signify their consent to entry into this competition (Registered Friends); and

    d. Once each friend has registered and completed at least one (1) course from any Hero Badge, email the full registered names of all five (5) friends to ausdevs@microsoft.com for verification.

    5. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant whom the Promoter believes either has tampered with the entry process or has submitted an entry otherwise than in accordance with these conditions of entry.

    6. Failure by the Promoter to exercise any of its rights contained within these terms and conditions at any time does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if for any reason whatsoever a Prize winner does not claim their Prize or an element of their Prize by 1 January 2015, then the Prize or that element of the Prize will be forfeited by the winner and neither cash nor any other Prize will be awarded in lieu of that Prize or that element of the Prize.

    15. The stated Prize value is the recommended retail value (including GST) in Australia as provided by the supplier and is correct at the time of printing.
