Does the thumbnailPhoto attribute have a MAPIid associated with it? It was my experience playing with the display templates in Exchange 2003 that to display an attribute it needed a MAPIid.

It appears that this is possible only using the Exchange 2010 Powershell cmdlets, which would mean that in an environment that only contains Exchange 2007 servers, and previous, it would not be possible to do.

Given all the same parameters in your example, save for one, will it work using a Macintosh based client - Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac?

Once you have the pictures uploaded, you can view them in Outlook 2007 if you install the Outlook Social Connector on that PC.

Just an FYI but this will work in an Exchange 2003 - Outlook 2010 environment. I wasn't sure if that was explicitly stated or not.
