The Retail management pack has also been tested for side-by-side compatibility with the Dynamics foundations management pack, and the two teams have worked closely in a collaborative fashion to build off of each other’s work and provide tips and guidance through the development and release process. The Retail team also closely collaborated with the System Center Operations Manager team for feedback during the release process and incorporated several changes based on the feedback, such as the discovery interval of Retail Server.

At this point the management pack is available in en-us and as localizations are undertaken over the coming months, the localized versions of the management pack will be made available in respective regions.

    http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/nokia-beamer/b5511af6-cbd0-4945-9bf6-30cf0582043f

Je installeert de app op je Lumia en gaat in je browser (Adobe Flash enabled) naar http://beam.nokia.com. of je mailt een link conform omschrijving van de app.

Vervolgens maak je de verbinding af via het Internet. en voila

Fantastisch. Geen special projector meer nodig. Je kunt beter in een Lumia investeren :-)

  • 4 steps to enable Lync on the Dynamics AX Demo Package V4

Just to make sure your Lync integration shows in the A image here are the steps you need to do.

Realize that the "Instant messenger sign-in" Option in the advanced contact settings signs the user in whenever the record is called. So if you have the Lync Server C not running you get 2 infolog messages each time you open such a Lync enabled record. My best practice is to have server C always running. However if you are short on system resource you'd better Check that option only when you want to demo Lync integration.

  • Dynamics AX Demo Package V4 Erratum 1

The recent Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2 V4 image comes with CU7 installed. One of the new functions is the integration with Microsoft Project (a complete list here).

When you start discovering these new features you will notice Infolog messages as “Method 'version' is not supported by the Automation interface of the COM object of class 'MSProject.Application” or “COM Object of class ‘MSProject.Application’ could not be created. Ensure that the object has been properly registered on computer ‘AX2012R2A’”. This is an indication that something is amiss with the client configuration. The demo image misses a directory in the released version. The USSI company Project management and accounting parameters mention \\ax2012r2a\attachments\ussi\projects but the \\ax2012r2a\attachments share is missing with the sub directories. Create them, make the share and things will run smoothly. Or create another directory and change the parameter settings accordingly.

BTW you can also use a SharePoint on premise or online location to save to as well. But then you need to make some changes in the Collaboration Workspace Settings in USSI System Administration too.

    Enjoy,
