Today at #DEMOcon we reached the finale of our Startup Weekend experience – with @Adgame selected to pitch to the seasoned audience of investors and startup pundits pitching as the Rising Star: a company created in 54 hours by Tony Lyu and Gaia Costantino.

On stage, Tony nailed it – “Education, Gaming and Advertising were having a vigorous orgy inside my head! So we learned to code, built a product, and now we're here!” and their resulting solution, AdGame, is a really interesting one. Their goal? Gaia says – “Transforming annoying banners, giving some value to the user; secondly, providing educational information In a really effective way, through ads”.

It’s fantastic to see a Singularity University graduate go through a Mega Startup Weekend, and pitch at DEMO, with help from BizSpark, Startup America Partnership and the guys at VentureBeat.

    Now THAT’S partnership, in motion.
