How can I make Internet Explorer 8 to start in InPrivate mode automatically, when IE starts?

Interesting question.

You can modify the Internet Explorer shortcut by adding -private Command-Line Option in front of the iexplore.exe.

So the final command in the shortcut would look like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -private

This will launch the browser by default with InPrivate Mode. Hope this helps.

What is the new about InPrivate browsing in IE9 as compared to IE8?

Hello Vishal,

Internet Explorer 9 contains all the security enhancements introduced in Internet Explorer 8. InPrivate Browsing is same as of Internet Explorer 8.

Thanks. An option to start IE in InPrivate mode should have been built in Internet Options. Alternatively, you can start IE in InPrivate mode by changing registry.
