Hi Aviraj,
Thanx for the tip, but my 1.5 yr old Acer Aspire 5742G notebook goes into hibernate (at times shuts down abruptly too) mode even though my Low Battery Notification is & has always been on. I use my notebook for over 12 hrs 6 days a week, so does it mean the battery has reached its end-of-life stage ? Read on other forums that a battery could last anywhere between 1.5 - 3 yrs depending on usage. I don't do battery-draining activities like use DVDs or other external devices extensively. I rarely use the DVD drive though I use my Transcend Ext HDD monthly to backup my data. Would appreciate a response, and possibly a solution. Thanks.
