Can the eval copy be registered using a valid key, other words, if I build a test environment on R2 can I registerd the eval copy or does it totally bomb out after 180 days?

Once activated, the evaluation will run for 180 days. After this time, you will need to uninstall the evaluation software and reinstall a fully-licensed version of Windows Server 2008 R2.

If we have a trial version of WindowsServer2008 R2 and have purchased a fully licensed version, can we simply enter the key of the fully licensed version and avoid reinstalling?
