@ccatlett1984 can you explain what do you mean by removable media? do you mean startup key or you mean to save the recovery password in removable drive?
@Mayank To clarify. BitLocker-To-Go (ie. bitlocker on usb removable media) is restricted to SmarCard certificates on Windows 7, when FIPS is enabled. Windows 8 has an updated algorithm (that is "DRAFT" certified) that enables the use of password protectors when FIPS mode is enabled.
