&lt;p&gt;Basically the USMT help file says that you should consider Config and Custom but doesn't explain the benefits of either or both together and how to understand the glory of XML....&lt;/p&gt;

While the documentation out there is workable, us slow people really have to dig in and study just to accomplish simple tasks.&lt;/p&gt;
