Tips and tricks on using the User State Migration Tool
Thanks

Thanks for all of your suggestions in the comments on the post "What do you want to see here? Any ideas?" that went live on July 3rd.  I am working on a post to address some of the questions in the comments regarding the config.xml file.  Hopefully I will be able to get this up for you in the next week or so.  In the meantime, if you have any other post suggestions, please drop us a comment.

OOh where should I start... well, better documentation would be good, or at least something that points the non-uber-gurus at a beginners guide to XML parsing for one.

Basically the USMT help file says that you should consider Config and Custom but doesn't explain the benefits of either or both together and how to understand the glory of XML....

I would definitely second the idea of better documentation. While the documentation out there is workable, us slow people really have to dig in and study just to accomplish simple tasks.

I'd like to see a list of USMT error codes. The "Debug USMT loke a pro" is useful, but not all error codes are in helpmsg.
