About Donnie Wilemon

Donnie Wilemon is a Strategy Advisor in Microsoft's Heartland District Memphis, TN location working exclusively with Hilton Hotels, International Paper and FedEx. Wilemon’s primary duties include assisting his customers with technology strategy and vision, roadmap education, and competitive positioning. Internally, Wilemon keeps the core sales support teams informed through routinely updated business & technology discussions, and organizational structure changes. Other duties include maintaining relationships with various CxOs, as well as many VPs, directors and lead architects within the previously mentioned enterprises. Wilemon brings more than 20 years of career experience in the information technology (IT) industry to Microsoft. Since Wilemon’s initial employment at Microsoft in 1999 as a pure Technical Specialist, he has moved into the more sales and relationship-centric position he holds today. Prior to 1999, Wilemon worked as a Sr. Architect at Baptist Memorial Health Care in Memphis, TN where he was responsible for strategic direction and implementation processes at the corporation’s numerous health care facilities across the Mid-South geography. Before joining Baptist Memorial Health Care, Wilemon spent three years in the Network Computing department of FedEx as a Technical Advisor and Sr. Engineer in the Research & Development group. Responsibilities included setting standard network and computing standards for the entire FedEx enterprise as well as strategic direction for various future technologies. Early in his career, Wilemon was with Time Warner as a Network Engineer and Visual Basic developer. Wilemon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Memphis and has completed a variety of technical courses and certifications over his 20-yr. career. He currently resides in Collierville, TN with his wife and two sons where they enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including swimming, cycling, basketball and ATVs.
