About Richard Smith

I have worked in the IT industry for 20 years and am a Microsoft technical consultant in MCS UK. I really enjoy working within a cross-sector environment at Microsoft and am currently delivering consultancy services around Windows Vista desktop design and deployment, but I have previously delivered consultancy services in Windows Server 2000/2003, Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003 and SharePoint Portal Server. Recent projects have seen me take the role of technical lead for the UK element of the Vista TAP-RD program, deploying Windows Vista and 2007 Office System to a number of enterprise customers, and as Windows Client design architect for other large enterprise customers. I have recently graduated as a Master of Science in IT (MSc IT) from Liverpool University, and in my spare time (not that I have much of that any more ) I enjoy landscape photography and writing and performing in a theatrical production company that I run.
