About David Hitchen

David has been using Microsoft products since 1983 but it wasn’t until 1996 that he joined Microsoft. Most of his career has been spent acquiring multi-role skills, starting as a Unix, then Windows developer he chose a succession of IT related roles from helpdesks and network design to IT management before joining Microsoft as an architectural consultant. The last 10 years have been spent designing Messaging, Media, and Virtualisation architectures for small business, partners, and enterprises and in 2006 David moved full time to Microsoft Virtualisation. David’s outside interests include photography and fast cars. He has 1 girlfriend, 1 child and 3 cats.
