101 uses for a Silver Lion
I just found out that my team won an award. Something called a 'Silver Lion' from the 52nd Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival. Sadly I'm not in Cannes to receive the award but I'm pretty chuffed nonetheless. In the world of marketing, getting one of these gongs is much the same as an actor winning an Oscar. Except without the fame or fortune.
The award was given for a letter we sent out to some of our customers to help demonstrate a few of the many ways that Exchange Server 2003 can simplify a messaging infrastructure. We called the letter "bolt on" and you can see it on the Cannes Lions website here.
It's nice to win awards. But it's even nicer to see happy customers making use of Exchange Server 2003 and seeing the benefits for themselves. And although I don't often get an award, thankfully I've no shortage of happy customers right now. Life is good!
