Using SQL Server Table-Valued User-defined Functions with Exchange Web Services
The SQL Server Tables and Exchange Web Services sample takes advantage of two powerful new features in SQL Server and Microsoft Exchange: table-valued user-defined functions, and Exchange Web Services. Table-valued user-defined functions in SQL Server return a table, much like a SQL Server view, but provide for much more powerful logic. Exchange Web Services in Exchange 2007 provides access to Exchange store items and information, such as message, contact, task, and calendar items and availability information. When you combine these technologies, you have a formidable new way to integrate, search, and analyze your Microsoft Exchange messaging data by using the full power of SQL Server, and to combine that messaging data with virtually any other data managed by, or available from, SQL Server.

Credit Suisse Develops and Deploys SOX 404 Compliance Solution using SQL Server 2005
Credit Suisse, based in Zurich, Switzerland, provides investment banking, private banking, and asset management services to clients in more than 50 countries. Because its shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange, the company had to comply with regulations specifying internal controls introduced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) Section 404. With more than 45,000 employees working around the world, Credit Suisse needed a SOX 404 compliance solution that was scalable and that could integrate with its line of business operations. Credit Suisse developed a SOX 404 compliance application based on Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2005 database and accessed across the Web through a portal supported by Microsoft Office SharePoint® Services. The solution was developed using Microsoft Visual Studio® 2005 and the Microsoft .NET Framework.

Podcasts: How Microsoft Uses SQL Server 2005 to Power a Global Forensic Data Security Tool
The Information Security team at Microsoft uses an internal tool called Information Security Consolidated Event Management (ICE 3.0) to gather forensic data from more than 85 proxy servers around the world. Powered by SQL Server 2005, the 27 TB data management system collects different types of global evidence, such as inbound and outbound e-mail traffic, Login events, and Web browsing, into a single database. ICE 3.0 provides rapid security analysis and queries, robust proxy performance analysis, and extensive troubleshooting functionality. Table level partitions allow event processing and database loading, without affecting the ongoing query activities and analysis work of security forensics engineers. Storage Area Networking (SANs) manage enterprise storage for ICE 3.0, and the service maintains an uptime of 99.9%. A controller application dynamically launches multiple instances of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), which seamlessly respond to changes in the volume of incoming evidence. The tool was redesigned in 2006 using SQL Server 2005. The SQL upgrade enhanced the data feed process, query response time, expanded the data retention period, and reduced manual data loading and data validations.

This download contains the BETA release for Microsoft Visual FoxPro 9.0 SP2 and the "Sedna" add-ons. This release has two parts:
The Sedna Beta download contains six components: VistaDialogs4COM, Upsizing Wizard, Data Explorer, NET4COM, MY for VFP and VS 2005 Extension for VFP.
The VFP 9.0 SP2 Beta download contains a patch that can be applied to VFP 9.0 or VFP 9.0 SP1. In addition to fixes to the core product, this patch contains significant enhancements to the Reporting features. Note that the SP2 patch can only be applied to VFP 9.0 or VFP 9.0 SP1.
