Some excellent titles to choose from that make my shortlist (in no particular order): Halo 2 Far Cry Half-Life 2 Chronicles of Riddick Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising Project Gotham Racing 2 A good year...

Ahh, my first day off. Just catching up on blogs, editing theme tunes for the Smartphone (heheh Knight Rider), playing a little Chronicles of Riddick... it's all fun. No family commitments until this evening. Sweet. Oh, and repeatedly trying to get the

This is a sample script that's quite similar to the Upload.CMD I use with PasteOff (fixed the download links, by the way), to upload images to my blog site. Customize the variables at the top, and upload away... As a note, it is really important not to

Oops, it's 1:45 am. Still, new version is baked, and it's pretty much what I want from a utility thing. Coolest new feature: now leaves a user-defined string on the clipboard. Also, stuff that 0.6 broke should work better. Download on the PasteOff page

Off on vacation from 24th Dec to 10th Jan, so my last day of "real" work this year is tomorrow. Thanks to all three readers (that's 150% up on last year) for your comments, help, and occasional bouts of sanity. I hope you all have a safe and happy New

Embracing the Christmas Spirit, I figured I'd get an i-mate SP3i from Telstra . So far, I'm pretty impressed with it. I've sent a couple of blogs to my Spaces site via Activesync over GPRS, including photos (yep, my first camera phone). The quality of

PNG, BMP, JPG, TIF can be output. Sometimes they might even work, too! As a note, when upgrading, previous settings aren't migrated. I'm using binary serialization to store the configuration options, and when the format changes (eg, I add stuff), I break

PasteOff is back, bigger, stronger and with more error handling. OK, barely more error handling. It's a fun project, not a production one, mmkay?

I'll put on my cheerleading skirt for a moment - well done to the MSN Spaces team . It rocks. I love it. It took a few false starts to get the hang of it, but now I'm really liking the little corner I've carved. I love it so much that I've pretty much

[Update 20050210 - emphasis added] Well, it's not called that any more, and we use Network Templates to repurpose an existing ISA box without reinstallation now. Much nicer, don't you think? If you've a single network adapter ISA 2004 installation and

In one of my rather more sugar-induced and less technically reasoned Holiday Season moods, I decided to buy an Airzooka from LatestBuy . For the technically-minded, Dan's review says it all . It was delivered the next day (kudos to Latestbuy for the speedy

At least I know I'm not the only one that finds the use of the plural "savings" in a singular context confusing and - well - wrong! http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=savings "A savings of $50"... bah. Should be "A saving of $50".

I have to hand it to the MSN guys, this was a pretty slick way to set up a blog . It looks particularly good for the first-time blogger that doesn't have a ton of legacy posts behind them. If you haven't blogged, perhaps this will change your mind? As
