TechNet Webcast Weblog

This is a great idea, that is sure to help a lot of admins. Perhaps extending the discussion to include supporting apps such as Anti-virus, UM, backup, etc would round out the information...

I came across this series of webcasts via msreadiness.com yesterday and decided to attend all of them.

On the msreadiness site they aren't listed as being TechNet webcasts. When I downloaded the .ics to put the appointment in Outlook, the appointment doesn't list it as being a TechNet Webcast.

If I follow your link to http://www.microsoft.com/events/series/tnexchangeserver.mspx the sessions are listed as TechNet webcasts. I only downloaded the first .ics but it also does not list the session as a TechNet webcast.

The registration for this series on msreadiness and on http://www.microsoft.com/events/series/tnexchangeserver.mspx are different.

Why are there these differences?

And yet they are both the same in one way - neither one appears to let you register for all 24 sessions and then let you download a folder with 24 .ics files in it.

Now some woud say that is just silly - nobody can do that, can they? Well, the Longhorn Team does just that with their series of webcasts to the Longhorn beta community. Check it out.

All this leads to the question of if you went to the trouble of creating 24 webcasts that you want us to watch, why do you make us go through 24 registration processes on one of two differently set up event sites?
