I can not see anything under Top Downloads, what is the problem?

Yes I have and I can get to all of the regular downloads, but I can not see the Top Downloads.  I have tried this from two computers.

I have a TechNet Plus Direct account and have associated it with my Live ID and logon that way...

Is this just a load issue?

OK, up and running SP1. The install went very smoothly..about 45 minutes with a couple of restarts. One question: in the earlier beta release, SP1 had a CREATE VISTA RECOVERY DISC function under START > ALL PROGRAMS > MAINTENANCE > Create Vista Recovery Disc.

That Link is missing on this final Sp1 build, or did they move it somewhere else? If so, where, as I cannot find it after looking for the past 30 minutes or so

Thank you Kathy.  I appreciate your efforts in getting Vista SP1 released to us.  I hope this situation doesn't occur again.

I have the same problems, I don't get any Top Downloads populating.  What is happening? When I click on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/subscriptions , I just get the default page talking about subscribing to Technet.  I already have subscribed and can get to the usual downloads.

Thanks for the early release.  It's interesting that it requires a serial and activation for a service pack.  Took a little over an hour for the 64 bit version.

Installing SP1 now onto real-world PC's will enable us to be ready with the answers to questions once it becomes publicly available.

That said, I'm having problems getting the file(s) to download.

Akamai Download Manager starts to download the file, but almost instantly pops up with an error message saying "A download was halted before completion. A resumption file was created for your convenience on the Desktop.".

I have tried this with the DVD version .iso file and with the x86 and x64 .exe files, with same result.

I have also tried on three other PC's with same result.

All are running Vista Ultimate, with Windows Live OneCare.

Are others having this problem, too?

Any suggestions would be most appreciated!

I had some difficulties starting the Vista SP1 setup. It turned out that I had installed the Dutch language pack, although I had never used it. I had to uninstall it before the Vista SP1 setup would continue. Read more about it on my blog:

Akamai Download Manager doesn't work. Halts immediately with the very useful & informative status of "ERROR". Must be MS programmers working at Akamai...

Found the problem with Akamai downloader not working and giving the ERROR status. It doesn't work on Vista with IE7, works a treat on W2K3 with IE6 perfectly!

I have just downloaded all streams of the service pack, but I am more interested in a version which encorporates it into the full version of Vista both OEM and Retail. The problem I am constantly having to repair is the fact that the user is often needing more memory or wishes the system to be installed with a minimum of 4GB of Ram. There are fixes after instal using 2GB install then adding the second 2GB after installing the fix. The Ideal situation would be to setup a PC to install faultlessly from start to finish in 64bit or 32 bit versions so that it is both easier for I the outlet and the User the end product user to see these fixes in place. No one is going to take much notice of any further offers coming their way if the basics cannot be fixed first.

  Slipstream hotfixes would be good to taylor to a machine in OEM and overall hotfixes for the retail version. Because an OEM is tied to a particular MB then the overall instalation should be made available via the outlet that sells it. The need for reduced O/S overview and support in aftersales is much desired. Overall I hope I am not boring you but these are the issues that have to be addressed which should have been addressed before release but were ignored. I was ignored then about the demand for higher grade memory and users needs for more on top of graphics memory.

I was concerned about being a complainer so I didn't post gripes and figured patience was the best policy.

And I'm now glad I didn't gripe. In my opinion, people are too quick off the mark to come out with their nasties - they thereby act as a sad comment on the state of man today. They're more like immature teen girls in their thinking than grown men, throwing their hissy fits at the first frustration.

Anyway, thank you to the Microsoft crew for getting the Service Pack out to the Technet community and am happily anticpating the integrated ISO.

When I log into TechNet the Top Subscriber download box says “There are no Top Downloads to display at this time.”  I can download the others like Windows 2008.  If I click the Downloads tab there is a link called “Microsoft Download Center”  when I click on it, the page comes up in French.  Sample text “Téléchargements très demandés”

Vista SP1 installed without incident on my laptop.  Now it's time to install it on the beast in the basement where all my VMs and iso's of TechNet stuff are sored on 640G of RAID5 storage.

This is just useless I have been trying now since yesterday to get this SP, and I still get the message that now top downloads are available. So dissapointed about this, come on MS sort it out.

I am still unable to 'see' any downloads in the Top Downloads box, even though I am currently downloading both the x86 and x64 version fo Server2008 RTM via the MS Download manager.
