TechNet Plus: Windows Server 2008 November 2007 CTP

Hi Everyone.

We have posted the Windows Server 2008 November 2007 CTP release for download through the Top Downloads section on http://technet.microsoft.com/subscriptions.  Once you have downloaded it, you’ll need to access Subscriber Downloads & Product Keys to get the product key for installation.

To use the Top Downloads , you will need to install the Akamai Technologies Download Manager Browser add-on to access these files and will need to allow pop-ups (at least temporarily).

We put this on the Top Downloads rather than Subscriber Downloads & Product Keys to load balance the download servers as we share infrastructure with MSDN subscriptions and they will have a lot of people downloading VS 2008 soon.   The next release will be in the normal location.

Have Feedback?  Leave a comment – I looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Kathy Dixon

Hi - The next pre-release version is expected to be out in a matter of weeks.  As a result before we could get this one in a shipment it would be replaced.  Let me check the schedule and get back to you on the next one that will be in your shipments.

Kathy, I Just Got The New Build Installed On 2 Different Computer's (One X86 Computer And One X64 Computer), And I Am Very Impressed With It. One Question I Do Have, However, Is There Any Time Table On When My Fellow MSDN Subscriber's Will Get Access To This Download? I Am A Subscriber Of Both MSDN (Operating Systems Level) and Tech Net Direct Subscription's.

Kevin -

I know the MSDN team is focused on making sure subscribers will be able to download VS 2008.  So I'd guess it wont be until after the peak of downloads for VS 2008 occurs.

I'd watch the MSDN blog for updates.
