TechNet Plus: Update on Office 2003/Office XP
As you may have realized, we found a solution and will be able to continue to offer Office 2003 and Office XP on TechNet Subscriber Downloads for the foreseeable future. However, we made some minor changes due to ongoing litigation. So, while the basic experience remains the same and you will still be able to download and use many of your favorite Office 2003 and Office XP applications as you always have, you may need to obtain new product keys for use with these downloads.
For most products, the product keys you may have received earlier will continue to work as is. For some, you may notice that your product key no longer works for the Office 2003 or Office XP edition you’re installing. In those (rare) cases, please review the download instructions for the product downloaded for additional information on how to proceed (e.g. please obtain a new product key).
