Wow, the kit is easy to update!

I have a TechNet Plus DVD subscription and I fell a month behind inserting my discs.  I decided I would update my kit today, and wow, it was pretty quick and easy!  I completed the task in about 10 minutes.  Here's what I did.

1.  First, I used the color coding (duh).  If a disc was green in my shipment, I flipped to the green section of my kit.

2.  Then, I used the numbers on the discs.  If a disc was labeled 0337.12 in my shipment, I located disc 0337.11 in my kit.

3.  I threw out the old disc.  <grin>  I know a lot of you keep these as an archive.  But, did you know that we only archive really old stuff (like Win9x and NT4) and that content is located online at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/archive?

4.  I replaced the old disc with the new one.

I didn't miss the old letter and I never even needed to use the TechNet Plus Index located at http://www.microsoft.com/technet/index (although that is really a cool tool for finding stuff in your kit).

If you have other suggestions or practices that work for you, please share them.

Happy kit building!
