Last week in the US, Steve Ballmer announced the availability of the integrated virtualization ROI Tool.  This will allow Microsoft Partners to understand and communicate to customers customers the value of Microsoft's integrated virtualization solution.  With this tool Partners will be able to demonstrate the sizable difference in the ROI between a Microsoft virtualization solution and other competitive virtualization solutions (including VMware).

With this tool, this will allow Partners to:

  • Quantify the value of Virtualization Value improvements
  • Justify Microsoft integrated virtualization by establishing the value for deploying Hyper-V and System Server based solutions in the enterprise
  • Quantify the value and ROI of Virtualization scenarios, Production Server Virtualization, Development Test Lab Virtualization, and Desktop Application Virtualization
  • Strengthen Partner Relationships with a customer and improve their ability to sell virtualization more effectively
  • Shows advantage of ROI of Microsoft’s solution versus ROI over competitive solutions including VMWare.
  • Increase selling effectiveness and competitive advantage
