Want a second hard disk for free? Try Windows Live Skydrive
Too good to be true? A number of us in the Microsoft Edinburgh office are now taking advantage of a new Live service called Windows Live Skydrive. This provides you with 1Gb of storage for all your files for free. This is a great way to provide access to large files for clients, colleagues or fri
ends, without having to send them as large email attachments.
So what is Skydrive? Windows Live Skydrive is a 1 Gb disc out there in cyberspace, and is totally free. It allows for the storage of documents, music, photos and videos. Access to the content is via Windows Live ID, and you can set up access to allow information to be stored in personal or public folders. You can set access to the files to reader or allow for files to be updated.
If you are not already a user of Skydrive, you can register at : http://get.live.com/betas/skydrive_betas
