Intellectual Property Awareness Seminar - Edinburgh 22 January 2008
An event that has only come to my attention this week, which may be of interest to Partners, especially ISV's is an Intellectual Property Awareness Seminar, which Microsoft is co-sponsoring with the UK Intellectual Property Office and is being held on January 22nd at the Sheraton Hotel in Edinburgh. Speakers include The UK Intellectual Property Office, Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys and a Business Entrepreneur who will be sharing their first hand knowledge and experience of how protecting and managing their intellectual assets has
been the key to their business success.
These events are part of a National IP Awareness Campaign where you will be given the opportunity to discuss any issues with specialist Patent and Trade Mark attorneys on a one to one basis.
Through the course of the event you’ll learn how to:
• protect your intellectual assets, focussing in particular on intellectual property
• avoid unnecessary infringements
• make sense of legal protection offered by patents, trade marks, registered designs and copyright
• avoid the threats and harness opportunities to make money from your intellectual assets
