This week sees the launch of Microsoft Office PerformancePoint Server 2007, the new Corporate Performance Management solution. The US launch is being held in New York on 20th September and the UK is hosting the EMEA launch in London on 16th October.  Registration is still open for both customers and partners at the following link Launch Event.  Partners involved in the launch include Accenture, CapGemini, TCS, IM Group and with customers including Linklaters, Unilever and Inchcape we are anticipating a highly visible launch.

So what is Microsoft® Office PerformancePointTM Server 2007?
PerformancePoint Server 2007 consists of three core capabilities: monitoring, analytics and planning. These are not stand-alone products, but three related performance management capabilities woven into one single, integrated application suite. Office PerformancePoint Server 2007 is for customers who are responsible for Performance Management (or financial management) across the organisation. The audience is a wide range of end users – Finance, HR, Sales, Business Analysts - basically any owners and contributor of budgets up and down an organisation.

This puts Microsoft squarely in the BI space and with the Microsoft Office and SQL server integration we are in a strong position to demonstrate that we can provide end to end performance management.
