According Techcrunch, Facebook will be open-sourcing the four major components of the FB Platform—namely, FMBL (markup language), FQL (query language), FJS (Javascript library) and the Facebook API.   No mention yet of which license they will

Microsoft Goes Yahoo!

Eileen beat me to the punch on this one. I am excited by this announcement because some of my favorite sites on the Internet are Yahoo properties such as Flickr and Upcoming. I also hope that that certain technologies die off like Yahoo messenger. Here

How To: Use Google Calendar With Outlook

Before joining the workforce, I never ever used calendaring software.  I didn't have a smartphone, and PDAs without internet access were a horrible value proposition for me.  I think life would have been a little different if I had Google Calendar

The New Face of Maps.Live.com

Finally!  Today is the day I officially switch from Google Maps to Live Maps.  The new Live Maps has a host of new features, but more importantly it finally brings a better user interface to the world of online mapping *i.e. kicks Google's ass*
