  • Outlook 2007 – February Cumulative Update Now Available

    The February Cumulative Update for Outlook 2007 has been released – it contains a significant number of new performance-focused improvements.  The Outlook team say they especially focused on the areas of starting up and shutting down Outlook, switching between folders with large numbers of messages, calendar reliability and consistency, and general responsiveness of the application when performing common tasks around managing your e-mail, calendar, and other information.   • OneNote to Rule Them All!

    In yesterday's post , I talked about some of the capabilities of Microsoft Office OneNote 2007. One blog post wasn't enough to do the product justice, so I wanted to discuss it a bit more. Let's take a look at some more of the functionality within OneNote 2007. Where Did I Put That Again? I discussed the search box in yesterday's post, but that's not always the best way to find information within your notebooks. What if you want to create some links within OneNote to easily navigate within your documents?

  • Office online - publish your calendar on the Internet

    Did you know that you can easily share your Outlook agenda online using Office Online.  It's free and it's simple. Simply publish your calendar to the Internet (right click on the calendar in outlook, and Publish To Internet).  This is how it looks in my case (in Flemish) - where I have opted to show only the basic busy/available information.  You can go for much more detail if you want, but I don't want people to know when my next appointment with the dentist is scheduled :-)

  • Microsoft SharePoint Online - Office 2007 Productivity Integration

    Outlook 2007 has the ability to view SharePoint Online files, folders, lists natively, without the need to browse to SharePoint sites. By setting up links to different SharePoint resources you can easily view and track these SharePoint resources within your Outlook 2007 Productivity Application: Clicking Connect to Outlook instructs Outlook to make a connection to this SharePoint Team Calendar so the Outlook application can pick up and display any new items.
