  • How is presence information shared across Exchange, SharePoint, and OCS?

    This is an interesting topic as presence information is not shared between Microsoft applications in the way you might think. After using OCS for several months and seeing presence information displayed in Outlook 2007, SharePoint sites, and the OCS Client itself, I was under the (false) impression that there was some communication taking place between my OCS, MOSS, and Exchange Servers. In reality all of the Presence information is actually processed on the client - with no sharing of presence information
