  • TechBash is Ready for you!

I just got in from LCCC. Jason and I were down there getting everything setup for tomorrow.. I'm telling you, we have an awesome day planned. I really want to call out the support we've received from Shirley Yanovich at LCCC. She went to bat for us with administration to get us the space and it's perfect. For those that regularly attend our events, we won't be in the usual classroom. Instead we'll be in the conference center--parking lot D. LCCC (thanks to Shirley's advocacy) has given us access

  • Announcement Rumor

Ravi is an associate of mine who working in India , but is very well connected up at corp. It looks like he’s posted some information about some satellite technology we’ve been working on quietly for the past few years. I didn’t realize any of this was ready for public announcement, but now that Tony has mentioned it, I can say I’m really looking forward to leveraging the new communication technology . The idea of having my video camera link to my mom’s cell phone – all from 1000 miles away – is

  • Launch Ends

Yeesh. I gotta tell ya, launch kicked my ass, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I've been traveling since January 8th, I've spoken to about 5000 customers from Nashua, New Hampshire to Rochester, NY and from Scranton, PA to Atlantic City, NJ -- great conversations with great people. This past Tuesday I was in Scranton, PA, the town I grew up in. Last week we were in the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan--the Grand Ballroom, including two balcony rows--spectacular. In Albany, my colleague Jacob and I

Yesterday's Launch in NYC was the first in a series of Launch Events for me. I'll be traveling six of the next seven weeks spreading the LOVE -- Longhorn, Office 2007, Vista and Exchange 2007. And you could really feel the LOVE in NY. There was a great deal of community activity. The ask the experts rooms were heavily staffed by non-Microsoft people. I spoke with Brian and Rosie, MCT's that voluntered to spend the day talking about the next generation technology to anyone with questions. I kind of

NYC Launch! Today was incredible! I’m well into my 16 th straight hour and it does not matter. I could go all night! NYC was amazing—I spoke with so many customers, Partners and coworkers today that are just so psyched by the evolution in business heralded by the Launch kickoff today. I have captured some of those conversations and will post them here over the next few days. Our first is with my buddy Rob Jackson, some of you will remember him as the MSDN presenter in NY/NJ a couple years back. Rob

  • The Biggest Launch in Microsoft History!

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are just weeks away from the launch of Windows Vista. This is easily the biggest product launch since Windows 95 (here's a little something from the "Remember when" catalog http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/business/longterm/microsoft/stories/1995/debut082495.htm ). We've got Launch events happening all over the US over the next two months. I will be traveling 7 of the next 8 weeks and I could not be more psyched!!! If you have not seen Windows Vista, Office 2007 and Exchange

  • What is an Evangelist?

So--- I have been fairly non-communicative here for awhile, now, as well as in other areas of my life, but I feel a sea change brewing as it so often does after a lengthy period of introspection. I can tell you when my current hibernation cycle began, it was Thursday, June 22nd. Wednesday had been a spectacular day, a bright clear mild summer day in the Northeast. I was feeling good, having had an awesome conversation with a great group at the AngelBeat ( www.angelbeat.com ) Conference in Philadelphia.
