  • Next week is Windows Vista week on Channel9

Channel9 has a treat for everyone and it starts next week. Charles Torre of Niner fame will have a bunch of fascinating interviews and videos on the core technologies that make up Windows Vista. For instance, get the low down on Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC) from Jon Schwartz (UAC Architect/Developer) and Chris Corio(UAC PM). This will be a "Going Deep" episode that promises to, eh, go deep on how it works, why it is what it is, the problems UAC solves and the context of Windows usability.

  • Seattle wind storm - webcasts canceled

FYI, there was a rather serious storm last night in the Pacific Northwest area of the US. As a result, many people are without power and that is having an impact on a variety of services. As I understand it, we won't be delivering the 10 webcasts that were scheduled for today. A lack of power has impacted people, process and technology in this case. Sorry for the inconvenience but I'm sure you understand. As you can see, the server that hosts my blog pictures is down. I'm actually surprised blogs.technet.com
