As you can see at http://edge.technet.com , we are launching a new online portal for IT Pros. Expect to see lots of content in the form of podcasts, screencasts and videos. I have some interesting stuff coming. My EDGE id is KingCobra. Head on over and register if you want a cool name, before all of the cool names are taken. I used my Live ID for the registration process and recommend you do the same. The official launch is next week so be patient while some of the features are enabled this weekend.

I feel like a treasure hunter. In my quest to find you valuable nuggets, I unearthed the mother lode on Exchange Server 2007. The Technical Architecture of Exchange Server 2007 is almost 600 pages of pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about the product. The shocking thing is that the download is only 5.5meg. If you decide to print this, make sure to print duplex on a really good printer. Download @ http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=b34fa7cc-8f13-4e21-ae87-eb824728ddd1&DisplayLang=e

One of the most common questions that comes up after our live events is, " Where do I get the slide decks? " Well, the slides and a bunch of other relevant materials are organized at http://www.launchtour2007.com/popup_ITPro.html . The slides I am using for the IT Pro Track are listed in the Microsoft Across America Events section.

As you know, we started our US Windows Vista, Exchange Server 2007 and 2007 Office System launch events last week. If you have not already signed up for one, go to http://www.microsoft.com/business/launch2007/signup/default.mspx and do it fast. Many of the venue locations are already at capacity and beyond wait listing. Last Tuesday, the MSDN and TS2 teams had some challenges in the morning getting some of the registration systems off and running. This of course created a bottleneck at the registration

Unless you're still partying like it was 1999, you realize it's now the year 2007. A little bit has happened since 1999 and we've been busy producing great products. We're going to give away one of those products at the TechNet events... you might have heard of it... Microsoft® Office Professional 2007 !!! What's the catch? There's always a catch. First of all, you need to come and attend one of our events. How do you attend? Well, you need to go register at http://www.microsoft.com/business/launch2007/signup/default.mspx

In just a few short weeks we'll be coming to a city near you, or at least many of you. Make sure you've registered for the launch events because I seriously doubt there will be much chance of getting in on a walk-in basis. A number of my southern brethren have asked how to go about registering. You have to work at it a bit, but the key area is as follows: http://www.microsoft.com/business/launch2007/signup/default.mspx Make sure to pick a role applicable to your job. If you don't find one, please

FYI, there was a rather serious storm last night in the Pacific Northwest area of the US. As a result, many people are without power and that is having an impact on a variety of services. As I understand it, we won't be delivering the 10 webcasts that were scheduled for today. A lack of power has impacted people, process and technology in this case. Sorry for the inconvenience but I'm sure you understand. As you can see, the server that hosts my blog pictures is down. I'm actually surprised blogs.technet.com

It's an exciting time. First there was Office 2007, then Windows Vista. Now we have released Exchange Server 2007 to our manufacturing process. I'm sure we'll have the RTM bits on the TechNet and MSDN download centers soon for you online subscribers. Hint hint.

Get your frozen margarita, dual core laptop and favorite rubber ducky and head to the pool. Might as well since this year you’ll be able to watch and listen to the festivities on the http://VirtualTechEd.com website. It’ll be interesting to see how much of the show, seminars and “social” events are actually broadcast. I would recommend tuning into the opening keynote on 6/11 at 7pm EST. We’ll have Ray Ozzie, Bob Muglia and Chris Capossela showing off some kewl stuff.
