Good morning to everyone in the Bluegrass state! As always thank you Lexington and Louisville for coming to the live events last week! Good afternoon Everyone. I have been receiving a lot of email's on this one. While I was looking at some great utilities at www.sysinternals.com , I discovered that Mark Russinovich commented in fantastic technical detail of the recent WMF vulnerability. The bottom line of Mark Russinovich’s entry is that the behavior of the WMF, while intentional, IS NOT A SECRET BACKDOOR . Having my typical fun day of troubleshooting, I found a great web site. the web site is eventid.net. It can be found here: http://eventid.net/ . You can search for all the Microsoft event ID’s. It also gives some great information on how to troubleshoot those Event ID’s. I have not tried the subscription for the service yet, if anyone has please comment on this post and let me know what you think. I have found the site to be awesome!

Have you ever been on someone's PC and they had no security precaution. No Firewall, no virus scanners, no spy-ware tools, no pop up blockers, and they have been plugged into the Internet since the launch of Windows 95? I do not about you, but I personally do not even go near those PC's with even a CD. Well I just learned about a new service to try, the service is call Windows Live Safety Center . It is currently in Beta, so you have a chance to help build a better tool set!!! Windows Live Safety
