  • On Demand Links for Windows Firestarter Event…..

A couple weeks back, we had a great Windows Firestarter event up on the Redmond Campus. We had some fantastic speakers on hand to talk about new features and technologies in Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. I know there are lots of people who live out side of the Redmond, WA area that would have loved to have attended in person but weren’t able to so we made sure to record the sessions as they were happening. Below you will find links to those sessions which you can view on demand at your leisure.

  • Angelbeat event wrap up for Portland….

(Actually…..we are really in Tigard, OR) Another great Angelbeat event today!  The event is still going on and I have already delivered my presentation. I am now listening to a Juniper Networks presenter talk about network infrastructure and simplifying network topology and physical layouts. Again I saw a few familiar faces from previous Technet events I have delivered in the area. I also fielded some great question on DirectAccess, BitLocker, Sharepoint, and exchange 2010 during some networking.

  • Angelbeat Event wrap up for Redmond….

Earlier today I did an Angelbeat IT Event in Building 33 on the Microsoft Campus in Redmond, Wa. There was a great turn out with ~70 people in attendance. Lots of vendors showed up including Cisco, Intel, Right Systems, Incentra, and others. These are great events for IT staff to hear directly from the companies about new technologies and even current stuff they just might not be aware of. I saw few familiar faces from the WNUG User Group I host with Zubair Alexander and I met a bunch of new people

  • Backing up and Inventory….

This morning I am backing up all of the machines on the network. Of course backing up is one of the most boring things there is (until something goes wrong!) so I am also inventorying my machines as well as the stash of hardware in my closet. All the while, the Media Center PC in my living room has been flattened (again!) and had some hardware swapped and is now getting the Windows 7 x64 Ultimate bits slapped down on it. I am guessing it will be at the “name your PC prompt well before I finish this
