Microsoft is proud to introduce the next step in its High Performance Computing roadmap: HPC Server 2008. This operating system replaces Compute Cluster Server 2003, and builds on the award-winning Windows Server 2008 released earlier this year. HPC Server 2008 comes with all the necessary components for running compute clusters ranging in size from small departmental to large enterprise clusters, and has massive support from hardware vendors, system integrators and software vendors. It leverages the power and familiarity of the Windows operating system to reduce the complexity of high performance computing.
In this first joint Nordic HPC launch event there will be a wide range of presentations that will focus on the business value and technical merits of HPC Server 2008 and how HPC can help promote productivity and technical innovation.
